James Russell
James started playing guitar at age 11 after many years of dabbling with Beatles songs at home on the piano. He’s loved music since a wee bairn and used to watch the Blues Brothers on repeat from the age of 5 (his parents were clearly very relaxed!!). He learned guitar by playing hack covers of 90s Aussie bands like Custard, but after discovering Hendrix and early Eric Clapton in his mid teens, he never looked back. He is one of those annoyingly naturally talented musicians that are self taught, learn everything by ear, and study a few lessons to cover the basics. One would describe his musical taste as: “A weird intermingling of classic rock, late 90s/early noughties British indie music and 60s pop stuff!” Always ready for a laugh and mourning his lost theatre career, his easy going manner will charm you.
Michael Camplin
Michael is an accomplished artist who loves bringing joy to others. He has played drums/percussion since childhood, across a wide range of genres: orchestral, jazz, rock, pop and grunge. He has studied under many different artists and educators, always in constant pursuit of honing his craft and has regularly played in a variety of cover and original bands. In a previous life he was a wedding and events photographer for over 10 years, so he has a unique understanding of the industry. Underneath his seemingly modest exterior lies a sensitive, fun loving guy plotting how to share his next corny joke!!
Rachel Donnelly (Travica)
Rachel’s love of music first began through her Grandmother tirelessly trying to teach her Mendelssohn's Opus 64 in E minor on the piano. Though the piano wasn’t going to be her primary instrument she soon discovered that it would be the vehicle to songwriting and here her real passion with music began. Studying music performance for a couple years consolidated her vocal direction and after having played in a number of friend’s bands, she soon founded her own band project focused on writing originals and performing covers. Her voice has been described as having a unique tone with similarities to Florence + The Machine and Sheryl Crow. A country girl at heart she loves connecting with people, listening to intelligent podcasts and secretly daydreaming of her next adventure!
